My Campus Life
FSU Florida State University
For a 23 years old young man straight from Taiwan to the campus of FSU is like everything I have ever watched on TV or movie comes true. The Spanish moss intermingled with tall pine trees on the neatly mowed grass with squirrels chasing each other is something I have never seen it before. An academic oasis in the middle of deep south redneck country. I found it out several years later.
UCSB University of California Santa Barbara
It was a huge difference to compare the two campus of FSU and UCSB. UC Santa Barbara provides stunning view of the blue ocean with much more liberal atmosphere among students and faculty members. Campbell Hall, North Hall and UCen (university center) are the frequent stops of my classes for refreshment activities.
ULV University of La Verne
Nestled at the foothill of Mount Baldy and Angeles National Forest, the main campus is small but tidy and it reminds me FSU. Except the Spanish moss replaced by towering and willowy palm trees. However, my time at ULV was at their Oxnard satellite campus so I don't have to drive 100 miles one way to reach classroom.
